About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Principal Associate for our Transactions Advisory – Legal practice, a senior lawyer capable of independently leading complex deals, structuring innovative investments, and acting as a trusted advisor to startups, founders, and VC/PE funds. The role offers the opportunity to manage mandates end-to-end, mentor junior team members, and play a key role in driving the growth and direction of our practice.
Requirements
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience with a strong track record in PE/VC and corporate transactions.
- Deep expertise in company law, FDI regulations, and transaction documentation, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues.
- Demonstrated leadership in running transactions independently, ensuring seamless execution with minimal oversight.
- Proven client leadership skills, with the ability to manage strategic relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Strong commitment to startups, innovation, and the evolving business of law, with a passion for shaping high-growth companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex M&A and PE/VC transactions, managing mandates end-to-end with precision and accountability.
- Supervise and negotiate key investment documentation (SHA, SSA, SPA, etc.) to ensure robust, investor-ready outcomes.
- Advise early- and growth-stage companies on strategic, legal, and regulatory matters impacting their business trajectory.
- Cultivate and manage high-level relationships with founders, investors, and senior stakeholders across the ecosystem.
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers, embedding best practices and strengthening the overall capability of the team.
